		While our name is new, our track record is well established. Since the mid-70s, the Westlake name has fulfilled its customers’ needs with countless, reliable supply sources.      Our product lines are never fixed, yet they will never expand beyond our areas of fresh produce expertise either. Every category offered by Westlake is supervised by a company partner.

		Westlake Produce Company is ideally located. Our headquarters are across the street from the nationally renown Los Angeles Wholesale Produce Market. The proximity facilitates our access to fresh produce from around the world in general and California in particular.      Our Exeter division office is in the heart of the California agricultural region. All logistics, transportations and field inspections are coordinated from this location.      The Westlake Florida office in Winterhaven literally gives us a coast to coast reach and accommodates the needs of midwest and eastern-based retail chains and independents.

		It all began in 1978 with Westlake Distributors. Then when Ed Miller Co. merged with us in 1997, the name changed to Westlake-Miller. We opened a Florida division in 2000, and with the arrival of Brooks & Sims in 2001, we became Westlake-Miller / Brooks & Sims.      Each organization brought established product lines, expertise and a professional sales team, which significantly enhanced our capabilities.

		With our national reach, all things are possible. We can respond to unanticipated needs with a variety of shippers from around the country. And with it comes our legendary turnaround time.      Our years of experience has also told us how to react to times of oversupply and product shortages. We are your partner in quality and in times of need.

		We are a full-service produce distributor with unsurpassed sourcing, inspecting and delivery capabilities. Today you can find us marketing a wide variety of fruit and vegetable items that include citrus, peaches, plums, apples, cherries, pears, nectarines, potatoes, onions, dried beans, mangoes, melons, hot house colored bell peppers and all berries. Some items are imported to provide year round availability.      Tomorrow, look for us to increase our capabilities as customer needs require, or if an opportunity for expansion becomes available.

1962 Brooks & Sims, a distributor of potatoes and onions, begins business in Los Angeles. ------------ 1963 Ed Miller Co. begins operation in Los Angeles as a distributor of citrus and melons. ------------ 1978 Westlake Distributors is founded by Harvey Sherman and Ernie Colton as a distributor of melons, grapes and citrus. ------------ 1981 Westlake adds field inspection capability through an office in the San Joaquin Valley. ------------ 1997 Ed Miller Co. merges with Westlake Distributors to form Westlake-Miller. ------------ 2000 Westlake-Miller goes national with opening of east coast office in Winterhaven, FL. ------------ 2001 Brooks & Sims merges with Westlake-Miller to become Westlake-Miller / Brooks & Sims. ------------ 2002 Logistics office opens in Exeter, CA. ------------ 2004 Company changes name to Westlake Produce Company to accommodate adding future product lines and/or partners.
